NORMA I. QUINTANA
CIRCUS:  A TRAVELING LIFE

Norma I. Quintana’s first art book, Circus: A Traveling Life represents a decade-long collaboration with the families of circus artists and performers of an American, traveling one-ring circus. She has captured, in rich detail, candid moments behind the curtain as they proudly perfect their craft. The book, designed by Yolanda Cuomo of New York and published by Damiani Editore of Italy, features nearly a hundred full-page, luminous black and white portraits, reproduced in duotones by master printer, Robert Hennessey. The book also features an introduction by Mona Simpson and personal essay from the author on her experience photographing the circus. Signed, limited edition books are available at the event and online at normaiquintana.com
