4x5 Field Camera Workshop
This 4- session class explores the opportunity to work specifically with 4x5 field cameras in areas around San Francisco to gain control and image quality that far surpasses smaller formats. A 4x5 Field camera provides more flexibility for in-the-field shooting due to their lighter weight components. We’ll work with such cameras as Wistas, Toyos, and Wisner field cameras. Students will start with an overview of 4x5 cameras including camera operation, perspective, focus control, and more. The following sessions include onsite shooting at locations such as Golden Gate Park, Lands End, Palace of Fine Arts (specific locations TBD on first night of class based on students’ interest) While this class does not teach darkroom procedures, students can arrange for private tutoring in these techniques by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
4x5 camera rental available for duration of class.
