Color: Theory and Symbolism
This 4-week long class is intended to give all levels of photographers a firm understanding of color theory and its applications in image making. Topics included in the class are the color wheel; color schemes (monochromatic, analogous, complementary, etc.); warm and cool colors; muted and saturated colors; and symbolic, personal and cultural uses of color. Students will be exploring color primarily through shooting assignments that will be critiqued with digital projection, but may also bring in prints for critique.
PRE-REQ: Familiarity with your camera. Traditional and digital color printing experience are not necessary, but may be used in conjunction with this class.
INCLUDES: Tuition includes pass for group color darkroom and computer workstations. This pass does not include access to the scanners or printer workstations.
