This class is a critique based workshop with a faculty led group discussion. Focus will be on assessing the way your work currently communicates and to establish artistic goals and explore contemporary art issues and practices. Class will meet every-other week, with 3 students showing work per class meeting. Students will discover and identify personal voice, gain an understanding of the way your work communicates and how this relates to your studio practice. By the end of this session students will be able to verbalize and articulate ideas more fully, broaden their vocabulary relating to their work and others’ as well as and gain a new understanding of modes and approaches in making art. Students may also add on a facility access pass for additional fees for access to our darkrooms or digital labs.
