Most 5-week courses include lab passes giving you out-of-class access to our state-of-the-art facility. Type of access depends on the specific class and may include our B&W or Color Group Darkrooms, or group workstations in our Digital Lab. Passes for 5-week courses are valid starting the date of your first course to the date of your last course. Passes for 2-day weekend courses are valid 1-week after the class end date. These passes are a valuable part of RayKo courses, offering an incredible opportunity to enhance your learning experience.
24-hour notice is required for cancellation of any lab rental time. If 24-hour notice is not given, if there are late arrivals, or early checkouts, the following fees apply: $20/1st time – $30/2nd time – $40/3rd time & warning – $50/4th time & pass terminated. Passes allow use of one enlarger, scanner, or workstation. Customers using more than one station are charged full hourly rates. Ten hours maximum reservation time for Darkroom Pass holder, and six hour maximum reservation time for Digital Lab Pass holders.
DARKROOM & DIGITAL LAB RENTALS
24-hour notice is required for all cancellations. If less than 24-hour notice is given, no shows, late arrivals, or early checkouts are charged for time reserved.
A $75 to $100 deposit is required to reserve our studio space. If you cancel or reschedule 72-hours or more prior to the studio reservation, the deposit is refunded. If a cancellation is made less than 72 hours in advance, the deposit is forfeited.
TUTORING & ASSISTANT SESSIONS
A 50% deposit is required to schedule tutoring and assistant sessions. Cancellations must be made 72-hours or more prior to scheduled date, or the deposit is forfeited.
Payment in full is required at time of registration. Snail-mail registration is by check only, download our registration form and snail-mail to RayKo Photo Center c/o Workshop Registration, 428 3rd Street, SF, CA 94107. If the class is full, we will call with alternatives or, if no alternative is available, return your check and place you on a wait list for the next open section.
STUDENT & MONTH PASS POLICIES

Coupon codes may be used online or in person at RayKo Photo Center. Gift certificates may be used for class registration. Please see WITHDRAWALS & REFUND POLICY for more information. If cancellation occurs in accordance with policy, gift certificate amount will be re-credited for class. Gift certificates are non-Refundable.
FULL CLASSES & WAIT-LISTS
If your desired class is full, call or email to be added to the wait-list in case a spot opens up. If a wait-list gets long enough, we’ll try our hardest to open new sections, but if this is not possible, people on the wait-list receive priority notification when the next semester’s schedule is finalized.
WITHDRAWALS & REFUND POLICY
Refunds are gladly given for withdrawals or class changes one week or more prior to the class start date, minus a $10 administration fee. Refund and withdrawal requests must be made over the phone during businesses hours. No refunds or credit for withdrawals less than one week before the first session or for no-shows. Sorry, there are no exceptions to this policy. Full refunds are given if a class is cancelled. Refunds can only be paid to person who purchased class/workshop.
TRAVEL/HOTEL INFORMATION & REFUND POLICIES
We strongly encourage you to purchase airline, car, hotel, or other type of insurance for travel expenses. If a class or workshop is cancelled, we will refund only the class tuition. RayKo Photo Center is not responsible for and will not refund any non-tuition expenses for any reason.
On rare occasions, instructors may be unable to fulfill their commitment to teach a course. We will do our best to find a replacement instructor of equal caliber to take over. In very rare circumstances, a course may have to be canceled.
RayKo, RayKo staff, or RayKo affiliated instructors are not responsible for any damage or theft of personal belongings, photography or computer equipment.
TINTYPE EVENT PORTRAITS
A 50% deposit is required to schedule and reserve a Tintype Portrait. Cancellations made 14-days or more prior to the scheduled event, the deposit is fully refunded. Cancellations made 7-13 days, prior to the scheduled event, 50% of the deposit is refunded. Less than 7-day cancellation notice, deposit is forfeited. Final payment is due 3-days prior to event date.
USED CAMERAS, LENSES, ACCESSORIES
Defective merchandise may be exchanged for an item of equal or lesser value within 60 days of purchase. If the item is of lesser value, you will receive a RayKo credit for the difference.
PLASTIC AND PINHOLE CAMERAS
All sales are final.
