Introduction to Your Digital Camera and Photowalk
Do you want to take better photographs, but don’t know where to start? In this six-hour intensive class you will learn how to set all the basic controls on your camera: shooting modes, aperture, shutter speeds, ISO, white balance, and lenses. Students will then head out to practice what they learned in a group photo walk to various location in the city, including Yerba Buena Gardens, Chinatown, The Embarcadero, and AT&T Park . Techniques for how to successfully use color, light, and composition in order to improve the quality of your photographs will also be discussed.
Please note, this class will take place rain or shine. We encourage you to dress appropriately for the weather
BRING: Digital Camera of any kind: Point and shoot, D-SLR Camera, or even a camera Phone. Also, please bring good walking shoes, a lunch, snacks, and water.
