J. John Priola

J. John Priola was born in Denver, Colorado. He received a B.A. from Metropolitan State College, Denver in and an M.F.A. from the SFAI. His work has been shown in major exhibitions such as, "In A Different Light" at the University Art Museum, Berkeley and the traveling exhibition “Picturing Eden” premiering at the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography, "Prospect '96" at the Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt, Germany. His work is included in many private and corporate collections and museum collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the SFMOMA. He currently lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he is represented by the Anglim Gilbert Gallery, Joseph Bellows Gallery, La Jolla, and Weston Gallery, Carmel. He teaches at the San Francisco Art Institute, the Hartford Art School International Limited Residency MFA Photography Program, and has taught at the ICP Bard MFA, SF State and California College of Art.
