JESSICA NICASTRO

Jessica Nicastro  is self-taught in C-41 hand processing.  Being a young photographer in the digital age Jessica still feels a deep connection to analogue photography and the various chemical processes that go along with it. Her work consists of documenting abandoned spaces, as well as conceptual work that explores themes of femininity, feminism, the fragility of both nature and the human psyche.  Her work has been displayed in places such as: The Foto Foto Gallery in Huntington, NY, The Long Island Museum in Stony Brook, NY, The Still Lights Gallery at the San Francisco Art Institute in San Francisco, CA, and The B.J. Spoke Gallery in Huntington, NY.  She received an AAS in Photographic Imaging from Suffolk County Community College in New York in 2012 and a BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2014.
