Off Camera Flash Photography Workshop

One of the most useful tools to take your photography and creativity to the next level is learning how to use your external flash unit off the hot-shoe. In this class you will learn the fun and easy way to create dynamic environmental portraits without the use of complicated equipment. You will be taught how to execute fill, creative and dramatic flash. Class will begin with a visual lecture to review the key rules of flash. Our afternoon will be spent in the field photographing assignments based on topics discussed during the morning session. The instructor will accompany the group to provide hands-on support and advice. You will round out the day reviewing and critiquing your photo assignments. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather, eat a big breakfast, and bring a snack since lunch will be late in the day. 

PRE-REQ: Knowledge of manual exposure and basic functions of your flash unit. 

BRING: D-SLR camera, laptop, external flash unit, radio triggers, light stand or tripod, extra batteries for camera & flash Optional: Neutral Density filter
