PHOTOGRAPHING WITH ARTIFICIAL LIGHT
This is a 4-session, hands-on, workshop in which the student will learn the basic principles of applied (artificial) light, and come away with the satisfaction that by the artful manipulation of light they will enhance their own visual imagination. The workshop will be held in RayKo's own full sized studio and will cover the use of single, multiple lights, color, use of highlight and shadow to create dimension, illuminating the background, different types of light modifiers, as well as the importance of "keeping light simple". In addition we will explore the use and safety of "electronic flash" (strobe lights), and their unique applications to contemporary photography. Handouts will be given to students to augment the demonstrations.
