PLASTIC CAMERA WORKSHOP
Overwhelmed by complicated, expensive cameras? Want to reconnect with the simple joys of photography? This 2-session class will teach you how to make images with various plastic cameras including Holgas, Lomos, Lubitels, Dianas, and more. We’ll start class with a discussion of these various cameras and look at images made with them. We’ll then hit the streets for a photowalk to capture unique shots and explore shooting techniques. On day 2, we will scan and critique the images we made and discuss camera modification techniques. Please note: Darkroom printing and film processing will not be taught or demonstrated. Students may add on a darkroom lesson for an additional fee. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to set this up.
INCLUDES: Tuition includes a week- long pass for our Nikon film scanners and Epson Flatbed scanner, B&W and color group darkrooms, and B&W roll film processing.
PRE-REQ: Some darkroom experience is helpful, but not necessary.
BRING: Plastic camera and film. Some Holgas will be for sale at RayKo.
