Plastic Camera to Tintype
This is a hands-on 1-day workshop where we combine two really fun aspects of photography, plastic cameras and collodion, to get 1850's inspired images as a result. Students will use their plastic cameras as wetplate cameras, and with a pro on-hand, will have the opportunity to make several images on black-lacquered aluminum plates. The class will go over all the materials & chemistry needed to purchased to be able to continue to do this on their own. RayKo will also have a stereo Holga to be able to create 3-D tintypes.
BRING: Tripods, plastic cameras (Holgas, Diana, Mini Diana, and Fish Eye only), items to photograph, clothing that can be stained, and a notebook.
INCLUDES: In-class use of chemicals and 8 aluminum plates. Students can purchase more materials in class if desired
