Shiloh Burton has been actively engaged in the practice of photography for 23 years and has exhibiting nationally since 2000. She "makes" rather than "takes" photographs of the people she frames with her camera, in various forms of community engagement. She teaches digital photography, storytelling, and video arts as well as AP 2-D Studio Art and analog photography at Irvington High School during the school year. Ms. Burton believes equipping students with the skills necessary to be sought after media artists who choose their own paths. She earned her BA from Bard College and her MFA from San Jose State University.
