Submissions guidelines and forms are different for our Main Gallery, Photographer’s Marketplace, Artist-in-Residence Program and juried shows. Bookmark this page, and we’ll keep you updated with what’s new in our gallery and what’s in store in the future.
The Rayko Gallery is dedicated to photography-based art. We are located in the SOMA arts district of San Francisco within walking distance of SFMOMA, the Moscone Center, Yerba Buena Gardens, and AT&T Ballpark. The gallery serves to advance public appreciation of photography and create opportunities for regional, national and international artists to create and present their work. The Rayko Gallery presents eight to ten main gallery exhibitions each year, which range from solo exhibitions and juried exhibitions to small group exhibitions based around a central theme. Artists of all levels are encouraged to submit their work for consideration.
Please accept our apologies, but we are not accepting submissions for our main gallery at this time.

Artist In Residence
Our Residence Program was developed to continue our support and education of fine art photographers. Through the program, artists receive unlimited access to RayKo's facilities. Artists-in-residence will receive significant discounts on other services and workshops at RayKo. There is a five month time frame to shoot, print, and complete the body of work, and one month to prepare work for the exhibition. Artists gain hands on experience in the entire process of creating work, from conceptualizing, printing, framing, and hanging. Work produced in the program will culminate in a show in our side gallery. Up to three final prints of the gallery director’s choice will be donated to RayKo’s print collection. Artists will have regular review sessions with the gallery director as the project progresses. Mentoring is available to assist in the artistic development of residents and cultivate a more polished body of work.
Applications are open to all artists working in photography.
We are currently not accepting any more submissions for our residency program.
The 2017 resident artists are Jennifer Brandon, Dane Pollak and Ashley Valmere.
