Wet Plate Photography Workshop: In Camera, level 1
This is a 2-day intensive, hands-on workshop will focus on the traditional way to make Tintypes through the use of a large format camera to create an in-camera positive The class is limited to six students, and each participant will have the opportunity to make several images on black-lacquered aluminum plates. Students will work in teams to maximize learning this fascinating 150-year-old process, the fundamental principles of silver-based photochemistry—the foundation upon which modern photography is built.
BRING: A few small objects to photograph and clothing that can be stained. Red colored objects or ones that feature text are not recommended
INCLUDES: Wet-plate chemicals, 4x5 Cameras, and 10 plates. Additional plates and film holders can be purchased.
